What is a NPN?

NPN stands for no-purchase-necessary. In order to not be considered a lottery, card companies hold NPN offers.

To send in a NPN you will need a 3x5" index or note card, a stamp, and a #10 envelope. #10 envelopes are the standard business size envelopes, and you will see #10 on the package. Put your name and address on the index card and mail it to the address by the cutoff date.

If the posting does not mention a SASE envelope, assume it is not needed. If I know that one requires an SASE envelope, I will make sure to mention it.

Your card will be entered into a drawing which will give you the same odds of receiving an insert as you would have if you purchased a pack.

The information on this site is unofficial. I gather addresses and information from websites and off the back of packs of cards. I do not represent any card companies.

The only reason I remembered it was I started sending NPNs on Feb. 12 and I noticed the Bowman's Best address on Feb. 14.

I'm keeping a record of my NPN successes on my own blog at http://npncards.blogspot.com. Nothing yet, but it's only been five weeks.

I've sent (and registered for) about 40 NPNs so far...good luck and wish me luck.

I check out your site, npnsportscards.com and other sites each day and use ones from boxes I buy. So, if I see any new addresses you don't have, I'll send them your way.

That can be frustrating. When I started sending, it was at least three or four months and 40+ entries before actually receiving one. My son on the other hand, started getting them within a couple months. I still go through dry spells, but on the other hand, there are periods where I receive more cards than I sent for! I don't know if they have excessive amounts of some products held for NPN's or why, but sometimes I will get multiple mailers that contain NPN's from the same line. Keep it up and I'm sure your luck will change soon.
